Cool! I'll have to show these to my four-year-old son. He's infatuated with tornadoes.

Unbelievably good photos.

Ah, a British newspaper gloating over killer weather events that are highly unlikely to occur on their little island. We Americans, however, actually live here and know to head to the basement when the sky turns puce-green. Well, at least us girls do. All the men? They're standing on the front porches with video cameras in their hands.

Heh. Great pictures, at any rate. :)

EChild: you know, my wife grew up in SoCal, where there aren't tornados. But there are earthquakes! She thinks tornados are much worse, even moreso now since our house actually was hit by one in 2005. But she often comments that people here seem to think earthquakes are much worse. For her it is the opposite.

I'm trying to think just what weather conditions are the worst for the Brits: Fog??

Sometimes you'll have a few minutes warning with a tornado, not so with an earthquake.

Yeah, I think fog is the "scary" weather the Brits have to deal with. Here's the one I remember.
